Peripherals

BTX offers a full line of control options made available by a wide choice of peripherals. Options include infrared, radio frequency, sun sensor, digital timer, low-voltage switches, and dry contact closure. Every control unit is custom manufactured and tested by BTX experts at our factory in Dallas, Texas and can be integrated into almost any system in the industry.

infrared

BTX offers an attractive looking rounded infrared diode with customizable leads allowing for placement anywhere in the room. Combined with a UCM and programmable handsender, each infrared control unit can control up to 24 motorized systems. These external infrared diodes are integrated into the control system using 4-conducter wires for a dry contact closure connection.

Radio Frequency (RF)

BTX uses a highly receptive radio frequency control module for any of our RF control units. Each lead connecting the module to the UCM is customizable in length allowing the module to be placed conveniently anywhere in the room. BTX's RF handsenders and keypads will support up to 24 motorized systems each.

Sun Sensor/digital timer

BTX's automated control program offers convenient solutions to everyday troubles. The voltaic sensor, otherwise known as sun sensor, can be programmed to activate your shades just when the proper amount of sunlight begins to enter the building. Likewise, the digital timer can be set to open and close your shades at specified time intervals each day. These devices are not only cenvenient to automatically close shades to block light, but they can also prevent sun fading on valuable prints or tapestries. Also by automatically opening and closing your shades each day, these devicese can create a sense of securty in the home to deter potential break-ins if your not there. Still, the largest benefit to capitalize on is energy efficiency, especially for larger corporate buildings and hotels. By allowing the sun sensor or digital timer to blok light during the most crucial parts of the day, you can prevent the majority of heat from entering the building cutting costs on heating and air conditioning. Both of these are integrated into BTX's Universal Control Module for optimum performance and reliability.

Dry Contact closure/Low-voltage interface (LVI):

Switch

BTX's control program includes a large number of wired and wireless controls. Among the most common low-voltage control is the wall mount switch. BTX offers a wide range of wall mount switches in many decorative styles and colors including white, almond and ivory. Some of the switch styles include rocker switches, mini-rocker switches, decorative rocker switches and key switches. Each switch will either be connected via 4-conductor dry contact closure or 3-conductor LVI.
