The
unique BTX louvered skylight makes it possible to control light
entry through skylight openings, from full open to complete
closure. The system consists of louvers tightly stretched between
two fully automated headrails. Each headrail is equipped with
a drive motor that rotates and subsequently traverses the louvers.
As the BTX motors are synchronous, they operate precisely at
the same speed and timing so that the louvers rotate and travel
smoothly and completely in parallel. The spring-loaded carriers
mounted inside the headrails apply tension at both louver ends,
thus preventing flexing or sagging of the individual vanes.
The maximum recommended span width between headrails is 84 inches. |

System
Fully Retracts
An important feature of the Sky Control™ A2 System is its
ability to fully retract from the window opening. By providing
side pockets, louvers can be stacked entirely out of sight so
that a full unobstructed glass opening is available. To control
light entry and heat gain, the motorized system can be activated
by the flip of a switch. The louvers, once traversed across
the opening, can be turned to any desired angle. The BTX drive
motors provide the skylight system with positive traction, which
allows the skylight to be placed in any angle, from horizontal
to vertical, buttom-up or top-down. The systems are available
up to a maximum operation length of 20 feet, however, two systems
can be butted together to provide a full 40-foot travel length.
