Scope of work is to provide vertical blinds for commercial and/or
residential applications that are operated by BTX motorized
rotation systems that utilize manual pull cord for traverse
function. Accessories, attachment hardware, and equipment necessary
to complete satisfactory installation are also provided. |

Manufacturing literature to describe assembly, materials, installation
instructions, and specific data. Include any pertinent wiring
diagrams. |

Shop
drawings are to include but are not limited to, all components,
fasteners, and installation methods. |

systems are custom-built based on measurements taken in the
field. |

BTX Window Automation is the original manufacturer of a unique
line of motorized headrail systems, electronic shading devices
and controls. |

B.
|
A qualified installer or sub-contractor shall perform installation. |
| |
C.
|
Installation
shall conform to Local and National Building Code and any applicable
local standards. |
| |
D. |
Sample
system may be provided upon Architect's request and BTX authorization.

Delivery,
Storage and Handling: |

A.

Systems
to be delivered to installation site or to installer intact
in original manufacturer's custom-built containers. |

Systems
shall be operated under normal room temperature range, humidity,
and operating conditions. |

Warranty:

| |
A. |
Provide
BTX standard limited warranty of five (5) years from date of
shipment against defects in materials and workmanship of motors
and hardware. Electronic and electrical controls are warranted
against defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years
from date of shipment from the factory. |

| 2.02 |
Components:

A.
|
Motors shall be either 110v/60Hz or 220v/50Hz synchronous. The
14-watt motor shall be rated for a maximum of 1lb. per vane
vertical blind weight and a maximum span of 23. Motor
shall operate at constant speed regardless of load. Motor shall
also have thermal overload protector for automatic switch off,
cool down, and restart to prevent overheating. |

Drive
Assembly and Return Assembly shall be manufactured from injection
molded plastic. |

C. |
C. Headrail shall be manufactured from extruded aluminum 1-3/4
in width, 1-7/16 in height with .051 wall thickness.
Headrail shall be designed to present a narrower profile for
special applications |

D.

Rotation
drive rod shall also be formed of extruded aluminum and turn
the vanes 180 degrees for full closure. |

Carriers shall be manufactured from precision molded acetyl
resin to ensure smooth operation inside head channel. Each carrier
shall be spring loaded and provided with stainless steel metal
hook. The carriers will be no more than .425î (11mm) wide |

Wall
brackets are made of steel and incorporate a clip that snaps
into grooves along the top of the headrail. |

Controls:

A. |
The switching device to activate the system shall be a BTX momentary
switch for hardwired control. Multiple systems shall be controlled
either individually or by BTX group controllers. |
Part
3 - Execution

| 3.01 |
Inspection
and Preparation: |
| |
A. |
Qualified
installer shall be responsible for window measurements prior
to installation, installation conditions, and preparation of
all mounting surfaces. |

B. |
The
power supplied shall be 110v or 220v AC three conductor to the
primary switch (hardwire switch, radio or IR receiver unit,
or BTX automated controls). Wiring between primary switch and
selected control units shall be in accordance with manufacturerís
wiring schematics and specifications. All on site wiring shall
be provided by the owner. |

Installation:

System
installation shall be in accordance with BTX mounting instructions.

Maintenance:
|

A. |
Traversing
system components should not require routine maintenance under
normal operating conditions. |

fabric care refer to fabric manufacturer's care and use directions.
